2 DAY PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first exciting step in learning to scuba dive. As a diver, you’ll experience weightlessness, get up close to the fascinating marine life that our world has to offer and create memories that will last a lifetime. Breathing underwater for the first time is an unforgettable experience, so don’t put it off any longer.

Our 2-day courses are run by our professional Instructional team with an emphasis on safety and professionalism.

This special course format has been specifically designed with you in mind, to make the most of the small gaps in your busy life. What’s even better is that our dive centre utilises the PADI eLearning online portal, which allows you to complete the theory portion of the course in the comfort of your own home, in your own time, at your own pace.

Our 2 Day PADI Open Water Diver courses run every Wednesday/Thursday & Saturday/Sunday.

Prior to the course you will need to complete the eLearning module that you are sent out, on the first day you will need to arrive promptly at 6:45am, we then will go through a review of your eLearning results and administer a Quick Review/Final theory assessment.

We will then load up into our bus and head to pool where we will complete all of the required Confined Water Modules.  We typically use Palm Beach Aquatic Centre but this can change on any given day due to special events or logistical arrangements.

Once all of the dives in the pool have been completed we will then head to Tweed Heads where we will complete the first of 4 ocean dives.  you will return to the dive centre at around 6:30pm.

The next day we will meet at the dive centre approximately 4 hours before high tide and then head back down to Tweed Heads where we will complete the remaining 3 ocean dives.  Your Instructor will advise you of these times at the conclusion of your first day.

Prerequisites:

  • Be at least 12 years of age (10-11-year-olds can complete the 3-day course)
  • View our “Dive Medical Info” section and complete the questionnaire to determine whether you require a dive medical from a certified dive medical doctor before taking part in a course
  • Be able to swim 200 metres without stopping and tread water continuously for 10 minutes

When you sign up with us, you will receive a booking confirmation email containing more information and the finer details of your course. You will also receive your PADI eLearning Access Pass email 24-48 hours after your booking has been processed. This theory can take between 10+ hours to complete, so make sure to take these two factors into consideration when choosing course dates.
