UPGRADE TO BECOME A PADI INSTRUCTOR
The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made up of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC and go on to attend an Instructor Examination (IE), which is the final step to earn a PADI Instructor certification.

This is why we will get you to complete the same number of presentations that our fresh IDC candidates will complete. This will ensure you get the best training in relation to the PADI system of diver education, not a quick, get you in and out as quickly as possible approach.
Our team is headed up by PADI Course Director, Tec Rec and EFR Instructor Trainer Mick Wheatley. Mick has been diving since he was 15 and working in the dive industry since January 1997, having trained people locally up and down the east coast of Australia and travelling around the Asia Pacific region to train others and also to build his and knowledge is just one of the reasons why Mick is one of the most respected Course Directors in Australia. Mick has hundreds of instructor certifications to his name and many of his former students have gone on to become PADI Master Instructors and also own their own dive centres both locally and overseas. With this extensive network of dive centres Mick is able to assist candidates in obtaining jobs in the dive industry locally and overseas.
Supporting Mick is our team of PADI Master Instructors and IDC Staff Instructors who provide an additional perspective to the the training so you don't just learn from one person you will get advice and help from a number of highly trained individuals so that way you can take the best of everyone then apply and adapt that information to you so you can become the best instructor you can be.
