On The Day

When you come in on your scheduled course dates, we begin the day at 10am to complete all the necessary paperwork and go over the knowledge reviews. Your instructor will then take you down to the Tweed River for your first three ocean dives.

On the second day of your course you will meet your instructor early at Brisbane Dive Academy and be taken out to a corresponding ocean dive site for two boat dives (site subject to trips scheduled).

Scuba Diving Gear

As a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver we would expect you to be still in the process of building your scuba diving kit. This is why we offer you our discounted student rate for full gear hire at $90.00 for the weekend normally $110. You do however need to supply your own torch for this course, and we have these available in shop. Tanks & weights are inclusive in the course costs.

Where to from here?

Once you are qualified as PADI Advanced Open Water Diver you are then qualified to go on to full specialty courses such as our Wreck & Nitrox course, where we explore the ex-HMAS Brisbane. You are also qualified to participate in the complete Deep Diver specialty course where we extend your skills and knowledge in deep diving, taking you to a depth of forty metres! For more courses, have a look at our Course Brochure.
