Administer Emergency Oxygen

 

Every diver is aware from their entry level training that the best treatment for any diving accident is the administration of Oxygen to the injured diver. The same can be said for any injured person. Oxygen’s therapeutic value is that it always makes the victim feel better purely by Oxygenating the patient’s blood.

 

Overview

The Administer Emergency Oxygen course is a one day course where we show you how to use different types of Oxygen equipment including, a simple mask, non rebreather mask, demand mask and bag valve mask.
Upon course completion participants are issued with a nationally recognised statement of attainment for Administer Oxygen in an Emergency Situation SRXEMR003A

Prerequisites

• Hold a current* certificate or statement of attainment in workplace-approved first aid training. (Examples are the Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (Asia Pacific version) certificate or a statement of attainment in SRXFAD001A:Provide First Aid / HLTFA301B: Apply First Aid. *Current within 3 years)
• Hold a current ** Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. **Current
